Castles of Burgundy is best so far I’ve experienced. Next up, I’ll try Feast For Odin, Concordia, Power Grid, Dominion.
I think a lot depends on whether you are a serious, competitive gamer or just a social gamer. My group are a social bunch, the game is mainly a vehicle for us to get together, talk a lot of, share some snacks and have a nice bevvie or 2. We play a lot of Catan and love it, including some of the variations, and are starting to play a bit of 7 Wonders. But the group didn’t like Concordia, as it required too much mental effort. Museum was OK, and we have enjoyed 221b Baker Street. But the heavy stuff, not so much.
