Police-PrecinctLast year there was an interesting new cooperative game on Kickstarter called Police Precinct. As most faithful readers know, I love a good coop game. But somehow this game fell off my radar and I missed my chance at getting it (and has since become hard to find). Well good news for all your crime solving aficionados, the people at Common Man Games have decided to release an updated edition of Police Precinct. With this second edition, they hope to fix some errors and issues with the first edition of the game. So what’s this game about? Glad you asked!

From their original Kickstarter Page:

Crime TrackerPolice Precinct is a cooperative game where the players take on the roles as police officers, lieutenants and detectives with different areas of expertise. The players must work together to solve a murder (which happened just before the game started), while at the same time deal with the increasing number of street criminals, as well as various emergencies that may occur around the precinct. To complicate matters, one of the players is playing a corrupt cop, bribed by the criminal underworld to work against the other players.

As an admitted Law & Order addict, I’m always intrigued by a good cop game. I’ve been looking forward to getting my hands on this one once it’s  available again. For owners of Police Precinct 1e, they are also selling a conversion option on the campaign page for $24. This includes a revised rule book, promos and their “The Heat” expansion. Speaking of the expansion, I was informed by Common Man Games that they are planning on delivering any rewards that don’t involve the 2nd edition of the game (The Heat, Promos…) right away. In their quest to make this the “Fastest Delivery of a Kickstarter game EVER” (their words), they plan on delivering at least one reward within 30 minutes of the campaign closing. It’s a fun goal they have, and I hope it works out for them.

If you want to get in on Police Precinct 2e, a pledge of $50 will get you a copy of the game and all stretch rewards. The second edition rewards are scheduled to be in backers hands in December of 2014. You have until Sunday Jan 26th to become a backer, so head over there today.
