While the timing seems suspicious, today being April Fool’s Day and all, Mondo and Restoration Games announced today that Deadpool will be coming to their Unmatched Skirmish system. They are assuring people that this is, in fact, not a joke and you will be able to pre-order Deadpool around 11am CDT today.
For those of you not familiar with the game, Unmatched: Battle of Legends is a light skirmish game that lets you mix and match various fighters to duel to the death. The core game featured historic legends such as King Arthur and Medusa. But later expansions broadened the game line by letting you control the Raptors from Jurassic Park, Sherlock Holmes, Bigfoot, and The Dragon himself, Bruce Lee.
There are also Marvel Heroes coming to the Unmatched system later this year, as noted here.
You will be able to pre-order Deadpool from Mondo Game’s website today at 11am CDT. It’s expected to ship in July this year.
