Not every game in your collection has to be a 60 minute, strategic powerhouse. Sometimes you are just in the mood to relax with something simple, yet fun. Usually, when we are in this mood, we reach for one of our many press-your-luck style dice rolling games. However, it’s nice to have other options too. Enter our newest Kickstarter of the Week: Bigfoot. Designed by industry veteran Scott Almes (Martian Dice, Kings of Air and Steam), Bigfoot is a two player card game where one player is a Cryptozoologist on the hunt for this legendary monster, while the other player takes on the role of Bigfoot himself. The game play seems to be easy to learn, quick playing, and a lot of fun.
From the Kickstarter Page:
Each round, the Cryptozoologist lays out two paths peppered with secret sensors and waits for the Bigfoot to come along and choose a path. The sensors tripped by the Bigfoot give the Cryptozoologist clues about the locations of the Bigfoot’s five lairs.
The Cryptozoologist wins if all five lairs are discovered in six rounds, otherwise, the Bigfoot slips quietly into the woods with a grin.
With a playing time of about 15 minutes, you should have no trouble getting this game to the table often. If you’d like to become a backer, a $15 pledge will get you a copy of the game (no stretch rewards have been revealed, but we’ve been told that they are planning to release some soon). Bigfoot is scheduled to be in backers hands in October of 2014 and you have until Thursday, Feb 27th to become a backer. So head over today and check it out.
